Daily Gratitude: Have you ever fallen into this trap? Some things aren’t going great. Next thing you know you’re thinking about something else that doesn’t feel just right. And then it’s thinking about what went wrong in the past. This leads to “what might go wrong next week?” As this cycle continues we forget all the good things that have happened in your life and the fact you have a roof over your head and warm clothes in the winter; you had an education; you have more opportunities than many others. Have you ever listed all the things you have and given thanks for them? If you make a list such as this and put it in a special place, whenever something goes wrong, pull out the list and counter each negative thing you’re thinking of with something off your list. Keep doing this to counter the bad stuff and it will soon become a habit – you’ll be able to stop that circling the drain method of thinking. Add to your opportunity list daily so that you have a massive amount of items to pick from.
