Daily Gratitude: I have found this too although I must admit my life still is ruled way too much by fear. But i now know what I need to do and what will happen when I do it. I’ve written before about my dislike for the phone, whether it’s taking a call or worse yet having to initiate one. I worn many bore you with the reasons- just know I will do anything to keep from making a call even when I know it will be beneficial for me. What is so puzzling to me is that once i do finally make the call, the relief I feel is palpable and I feel so much better. I tell myself how much anxiety I could have avoided had I just faced the fear and picked up the dumb phone. Yet, next time the same thing happens. Once I decide “ok on Friday I will call to make that appointment” and even put it on my calendar, when Friday comes it gets done regardless of how I feel. Are there any things you avoid doing like this? How do you handle them?
