Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: Everyone talks about going the extra mile and I believe if you want to succeed, you do need to do that. But the mile never really ends. A lot of people go the extra mile but look at people who are at the top of their field and you’ll see they didn’t stop there. They kept going even further. It’s those people who will find the pot of gold. But it’s not easy. You have to want something in every molecule of your soul. It’s not for everyone. Take a look at Olympians. They have definitely gone far beyond the extra mile and their pot of gold is not necessarily a medal but the experience. You have to determine for yourself which mile marker you’re willing to aim for. It may be that you’re fine where you are but it also may be that you want more. If you do, what are you willing to do?

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: Some people have a word of the year. Some have a word of the month. Why not have one every day? They can be repeated so don’t think you have to come up with 365 different words. Maybe try it for a week or two and see how it goes. Maybe at the beginning of the month you can list the 30 or 31 for the month. Another way to do this is to take a moment at the end of each day and see what went well and what didn’t go so well all day. Did you procrastinate too much today? Then maybe tomorrow’s word will be “action” or “call” or even pick “procrastination”. The point is to find something to think about and contemplate that word’s meaning in your life. It’s good for your brain to have a focal point each day. If this is too much, pick a word a week. Try it.

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: This is beautiful. We all know (but don’t always practice it) that what we give out is what we receive back. Do the giving first and don’t wait until you’ve seen something good happen in your life. That’s a mistake many people make not believing that they will get the good in return so they have to see if before they believe it. Believe it before you see it. That’s the way to show your faith. No matter what just keep giving. It will come back to you.
