Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: This is one to consider as we head towards the end of the year. Many people find themselves saying (especially as the holiday season begins) “I’ll start doing this or that WHEN the first comes around.” They say something similar throughout the rest of the year too but this is a common time to put things off for awhile.

Does “WHEN” ever come to your life? I would imagine not. It’s like “tomorrow” and “I’ll do it tomorrow.”

Don’t wait for anything. Start now. That’s not to say to ignore everything and jump right into something without evaluating it. It’s saying that evaluating something is an action and it’s not waiting. I have a car that’s 35 years old and has been sitting in my garage for 21 years for reasons that are beyond this post. I’ve thought about and talked about getting rid of it for a long time. I haven’t done diddly squat about actually doing that.

Just this week I decided it was time to take action. I’ve already taken most of the steps needed to “let it go”. That is always something to consider if you find yourself waiting for “when”. If you’re going to start a new diet on the 1st – and not right now – could it be you’re not ready to let go of all those tasty treats you have every morning and evening?

What action can you take today on something you’ve been “waiting” for? Start that today
