Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: What a great concept for a daily routine! No matter what we do, there are always many people behind that one thing. Not just with fruit but as I was sitting in traffic on the way to one of my races I looked at all the different kinds and styles of the vehicles around me and thought about all the ideas and the people who had those ideas and then all the others who implemented them. Who gathered all the materials? Who sold everything? Who created the credit cards we used? And on and on. So when we complain about the price of things, we could ease that pain and complaint perhaps by thinking about the people way in that invisible background!

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: Not a lot needs to be written on this. It’s helpful to do a 360 – turning around and looking at every facet of your life and list the things you’re grateful for in each of those facets. Let’s say you look at the facets of career, love, relationships, emotions, physical, environmental, educational, money, spiritual, family, friends etc. if you’re having issues in one of them, figure out how many are going ok. Get your focus OFF the “bad” thing and ON the good ones

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: I talked about stepping stones a month or so ago and here it is again. This time focusing specifically on obstacles. The point is to step back and glimpse an overview of the entire situation facing you. From that vantage point see if you can see how the apparent “obstacle” may not be an obstacle after all but simply another part of the path. From that viewpoint you’ll also be able to see a quicker path around or over them. Try this some time and try to see the whole picture. This requires extracting yourself from the sticky webs you have yourself in when this obstacle appeared. Coat yourself with non-stick spray and pull away.
