Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: OK so this is obviously telling me that I’m still working on becoming mature- even after 77 years. Ha ha.

Seriously, though, we do get better at enduring uncertainty or at least not fighting it. When we stop resisting (which is what not fighting it is), it’s easier to endure the unknown (which is the uncertain).

It’s just a habit forming process. As we are continually exposed to that uncertainty, and as we come out on the other side still alive, our brains begin to recognize that it’s not the end of the world. And that same brain also begins to develop new neural pathways for enduring each event.

We build strength by being exposed to uncertainty repeatedly. The more we examine what is happening and what has happened the more we can reassure our brains that we are safe despite the situation. As it sees the same process occur over and over, it stores the strength and as a result no longer interprets uncertainty as danger. That’s a pretty cool thing when the brain no longer thinks it has to go to full alert every single time.

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: This gets proved over and over again throughout your life. Take a few minutes and look back over your experiences and see if you can find evidence of it.

As I’ve told you many times, the universe knows what you need and when you need it. It sends messages. The most important thing you can learn in life is to pay attention to the messages you receive. Often you need meditation to help you ask for the proper interpretation of the message.

Believe me, though, if you don’t “get it”, the universe won’t give up. You’ll continue to get messages until you do figure it out. And even though this may take some time, it will be when you’re ready to hear the answer.

If you review your life, you’ll get enough proof to help you build your faith in this concept. Any evidence you come up with on your own is always the most powerful.

Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: You Have to put pressure on a rag in order to clean something. And it takes more pressure for more embedded grime. It’s no different with us and trying to make change. The more something is embedded (the longer we’ve dealt with it) into our being or soul, the more work it will take to remove (correct) it.

Frequently that’s what deters people from trying to make the changes they want to make. We try for a while and nothing seems to happen. So we give up.

We forget that it takes time…and effort. We also forget that changes can be happening but that we can’t see or feel them. It’s what’s happening under the ground like the seeds that germinate for so long before popping up so they can be seen.

It’s important to just keep working. To not give up when change isn’t immediately apparent. Do you want something to really be clean or just appear clean? Once you decide, then you can remember how much effort you need to apply. Continue to remind yourself of that.

Change will come.
