Daily Gratitude

Daily Gratitude: This is pretty simple. Say you’re worried about a physical symptom because you don’t know what’s causing it. Try being grateful for all the health you have surrounding that symptom – after all, your heart is still working, so are your legs and lungs etc. be grateful for all you have. This will help you distract your attention from the “oh my goodness, what’s wrong” symptom. Being happy and grateful for all you have will help raise your vibrations and they will help you either do something about the symptom (e.g. go to the doctor rather than just worrying) or let it be. Putting everything in the proper perspective helps diminish the intensity of the fear. Gratitude will facilitate that too.

Daily Gratitude: Can you choose to ignore the invisible? Sure? You can ignore anything you want. But do so with a definite understanding of the consequences. The other night someone passed away at the home where I volunteer. One thing we have to do after that is clean and disinfect the room to make it ready for the next guest. It’s a tedious task and you sit there and wonder why. Why do you have to wipe everything down (especially handles of cabinets and counters)? Many times the guests haven’t been there that long so things still look clean. It’s so tempting to just ignore those tasks. After all, who would know? It’s only when you realize what the eye can’t see that you recognize the importance of addressing the invisible. There are viruses and bacteria and fungi everywhere and we can’t see them. But if untamed, they can do much damage. We tend to remember this only when we have something like the pandemic occur. People get sick and die – just from the invisible. It’s vital to do this room cleaning. Apply this to your life. Do you know the effect of ignoring the invisible in your own life and body? Do you ever pay attention to what has accumulated inside of you – both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm? When was the last time you did any deep cleaning? There are invisible things inside of you that you need to work on or they may manifest in ways you’ll be surprised at. You may think you can hide (or ignore all of it) because it’s invisible, but you can’t. How much do you complain? How much do you put blame on something external? The law of cause and effect explains how your thoughts bring about all that you experience. Do you want more strife in your life? If not, look within and do your own deep cleaning.

Daily Gratitude: Courage is not the absence of fear but moving forward in spite of it. That’s not an exact quote but it’s close enough. Can you take that leap? The lights are off and you don’t know what’s ahead of you. Maybe it’s good and maybe it’s not so good. Don’t let the need for certainty rule your actions. I did that for so many years of my life. But recently, I’ve allowed myself and my actions to be ruled by (or actually guided by) what it is I want. I started this daily call two months ago with great trepidation, being afraid of being laughed at and “stoned by the masses” (figuratively not literally). And some days I have felt “stoned” (no, not like that). But then I look at my actions and take responsibility for whatever happened and ask myself how I can change – how I can change myself, not the others. You know you can’t change others, right? All we have to work on is ourselves and that’s a good thing because there’s plenty of work to be done with that alone. Be brave, do something you really want to do, even if you’re afraid. You won’t know how much you like and learn from it until you try.
