Are you ready for Thanksgiving?
How many of you had your minds go to a list when I asked if you were ready for Thanksgiving- a list of groceries to get , a menu to create , a list of people coming etc.
How many of you went to the list of things you’re thankful for? That’s the most important list of all.
It shouldn’t be just another day, another party. And we shouldn’t just wait until then to figure out what we’re thankful for. I know many people who don’t Even use the day for expressing gratitude in bulk as i like to call it. They may say a blessing or Grace at the dinner table but nothing more. The biggest thanks they often give is when everyone has left and they say “whew, thank goodness that’s over”.
There’s something wrong there.
You’ve got so much to be grateful for. Why not start listing and reliving all those wonderful things starting now when you’re hopefully less stressed and don’t have to come up with something on the spur of the moment.
You’ve got 7 days to think about this. What great vibrations you’ll be sending out if you begin to define so much that has made your life or the life of someone else so much better. You can take a 7 day cruise on the USS Memory Lane. It won’t cost you a penny and you won’t get seasick. But that voyage will set your mood for a long time to come. And you never know what other great things it might bring to you.
You can also this 7 day cruise to decide what post Thanksgiving challenge you want to do so you’ll be ready when Dr. Gilbert fires the gun at the starting line!
Next week sets off the holiday season and if you’re always too busy for anything “this serious”, start your engine (your brain) right now and then you’ll want to keep fueling it. There’s little worse than coming up with something important on the spur of the moment and then feel committed to it.
Use this week to your diamond advantage!
