<p>How do your routines impact others?</p>



<p>You’ve reached Talking with Dr Terrie &#8211; 180 seconds to a better you message number 289 snd I’m Dr Terrie Wurzbacher</p>



<p>I was late doing yesterday’s message and am a little later than usual today too.</p>



<p>I can hear your responses now “So what’s going on? How can she do that? I always listen at such and such a time.“</p>



<p>For the switch up I apologize. I was getting up between 2:30 and 3 so that I could make the call before most people start their day and most are an hour ahead of me.</p>



<p>I was doing this while trying to heal my shoulder and it began to catch up to me health wise. So yesterday I decided to sleep later but didn’t anticipate being that late. However yesterday was the best I’ve felt in months.</p>



<p>So I have to reassess when I do the call so I can be healthy but also not disrupt your routines too much.</p>



<p>The point to all this babbling is that I imagine you all have routines. But have you ever wondered how your specific routine or routines impact other people?</p>



<p>Sometimes we go about our business without thinking of the second and third order effects. Let’s say you want to train for a marathon. That takes a lot of time away from home. If you have a spouse and maybe some kids, this training will impact not only your spouse but other family members too.</p>



<p>I’ll tell you that on my vol state podcast almost everyone with a family talks about needing to clear it with the family and how they themselves recognize it’s a selfish undertaking.</p>



<p>Perhaps we should be more cognizant of talking with others before we change or install a routine.</p>



<p>Again thank you for bearing with me during this adjustment period. I need to be as healthy as possible to give you the best of me.</p>
